Muskoka Brewery announces move into spirits

Bracebridge – Muskoka Brewery has announced that, with a order of new distilling equipment, it will begin to develop small batch spirits.

“This has been three years in the making,” said Gary McMullen, president and founder of Muskoka Brewery. “It’s really a passion project first. Like our Moonlight Kettle Series, we’ll be exploring and creating new and unique products as we have done with beer for so many years.”

The brewery disclosed it doesn’t have immediate plans to start selling spirits commercially in 2016.

“We don’t have any plans for what we will distill. We’ll just see what we like and go from there,” said McMullen.

The Italian-made still is scheduled for a February 2016 delivery.
