LCBO launching click-and-collect service in 2018Tweet
Toronto – In Spring 201, the LCBO will introduce a new click-and-collect service option, according to an interview with the LCBO’s new chief customer officer Joyce Gray, on the Toronto Star.
The click-and-collect service is similar to that which Loblaws and other grocery stores now offer – order online then pick up at your local store within a few hours.
“The difference with click-and-collect is that you’ll be able to order and pick up in the store in a four- to five-hour time period, so if you’re having a party or something you can order and drop by the store to pick it up on your way home that day,” says Gray.
According to the Toronto Star article, the LCBO will post around $10 million in sales through its ecommerce platform this year, compared to $4.4 million in 2016. There are now approximately 200 orders per day with a shopping cart average of $217 per order. On Cyber Monday, the LCBO received 600 online orders.
