Frape & Sons launches online shop for cocktail bittersTweet
Founded by Justin Frape in 2015, the distillery currently offers eight varities of bitters including Apple Cinnamon, Arugula, Cocoa Nib, Coffee, Jalapeño, Rhubarb, Rhubarb with Bitter Orange, and Rosemary.
“We make our alcohol bases by hand with molasses from Ontario sugar refineries, local fruit and local grains. A hundred gallons of distiller’s beer, which is the input for the still, will net us between five and eight gallons of alcohol base,” explains the distillery of their process.
Earlier in 2017, Frape & Sons expanded their distilling operation into a larger facility to aid expansion.
Bitters start at 20$ each in 100ml bottles.
