Brown Van Brewing launches in Ottawa area

Ottawa – Brown Van Brewing Co. has announced its first beer release – a Kölsch-style Ale – is now available in the Ottawa area.

A family venture by husband and wife team Paul and Erica Braunovan – from which “Brown Van” is derived – the brewery is currently producing its beer under contract at Kichesippi Beer Co.

“The Braunovan name is of German and Irish descent. Brown Van Brewing’s objective is to make amazing beer, influenced by the great beer styles of Germany and Ireland. Our Kolsch style ale serves as our tribute to the classic lagered ale of the city of Cologne, Germany,” says the brewer.

Brown Van’s 4.8% Kölsch-style Ale is brewed with Perle and Tradition hops and is available on draught at Hintonburg Public House, The Black Tomato and soon followed by The Brig Pub and newly opened CRAFT Beer Market.
